At the beginning of this year I set out to be more mindful of what and how much information I take in. I also wanted to try to figuratively clear space in my head, making room for things that would feed my art in some way.
Minimalism doesn’t mean deprivation, but really looking at what you own or the material things you aspire to own and thinking “do I really need that?” I’ve realized, most of the time, the answer is no.
I think it’s easier to see past decades as ideal if you would have been privileged enough to still take advantage of that era.
